An Evening to Remember: InsCipher Hosts at the Iconic Brennan’s in New Orleans

As the sun set over the French Quarter on Monday night, the top floor of Brennan’s became the setting for one of the most memorable gatherings of the SILA Conference week. InsCipher had the honor of hosting a private evening for our friends and partners, including distinguished representatives from ELANY, SLACA, SLTX, OK DOI, SLAIL, FSLSO, and beyond, as well as many of our valued clients.

The evening exuded an air of elegance and exclusivity from the moment guests arrived. Greeted warmly at the top of Brennan’s iconic staircase, attendees were ushered into the King’s Room, where soft jazz and the hum of conversation mingled with the clinking of cocktail glasses. Servers floated through with trays of crisp-edged crab cakes, buttery sweet potato dauphine, and Brennan’s rich, aromatic turtle soup — each bite a tribute to classic New Orleans flavor and charm.

Historic Charm Meets Modern Hospitality

The event was guided by Brandon, our incredible host from the Brennan’s team, whose storytelling brought the restaurant’s history to life. Between sips and laughter, he shared tales of the Brennan family legacy and the century-old walls that have witnessed generations of celebration. Wandering through the intricately detailed private rooms, guests admired the authentic historic treasures, ornate chandeliers, and polished woodwork that gave the evening its sense of timeless intimacy.

A Feast Worth Celebrating

Dinner unfolded like a symphony of southern flavor. Guests began with the option of a perfectly tangy shrimp remoulade or a crisp Jackson Salad. The main course featured pan-roasted chicken Clemenceau, tender and deeply seasoned, and braised short rib so rich and melt-in-your-mouth it quieted the table for a moment. And then, dessert arrived with a flourish.

The lights dimmed just slightly as Brandon returned for a showstopping finale: Bananas Foster, flambéed tableside in a blaze of caramel and rum, filling the room with that unmistakable scent of butter and brown sugar. Served alongside slices of a decadent Blackout Doberge cake, it was a dessert course worthy of applause.

As glasses were raised and conversation spilled easily from one table to the next, it was clear this evening was about more than just a beautiful meal. It was a celebration of collaboration, friendship, and the shared spirit that connects the surplus lines landscape.
